Sister Barbara gets married to Walter Holdaway on 6 January 1937
Enrolled in Lawrence Memorial Royal Military School, Nilgiri Hills, India on 20 February 1937
Sails with his father and sister Joan on the SS Jervis Bay to England in 1938
Lives with Martha Johnson (aunt) and family at 14 Scholes Street, Salford. Extremely unhappy and is bullied by the sons. 1938
Moves to live with his aunt Mary Boyd, his father’s sister, and her family at Rokery Cottage, Morthern Road, Wickersley,Yorkshire 1938-39
